China Tofu - Cheap Eat in Union City

Han Lukito | May 12, 200312:49 AM     2

After a good previous postings by Yimster and myself, I am planning to try most of the menu at this place. I really think that this is a gem worthy of thorough exploration.

Bok choy with shitake mushroom and another smaller type of mushrooms with some carrots in oyster sauce. The vegs were cooked perfectly. $3.99 GOOD PLUS.

Salt pepper squid: tender squids with tasty batter. Not as light/crunchy but good enough. $4.99 GOOD

Fried Sole in brown sauce: the fish is shaped thin and deep fried to a crunch. $5.99 VERY GOOD

Bean threads cooked with garlic and soy sauce: very simple dish. Not as tasty as I like. $4.99 SO-SO

I saw many other enticing dishes at other tables. I saw pork belly with preserved cabbage, claypot dishes that looked great.

Excellent place !

This place is inside the MARINA shopping complex between Decoto and Alvarado Niles.
