Joan Obra's column in yesterday's Bee mentions a new place I was unaware of. China Chili has been opened a little over a year at the NE corner of Shaw and West, serving Hunan and Szechwan specialties. I've linked to the article below. She notes a cilantro fish fillet soup and some lamb dishes that sound very good. Apparently the owners live in Fremont on their two closed days and spend the rest of their time here.
Also some good words about the B&K Asian Kitchen. I stopped in once looking for banh mi but didn't stay since it wasn't on the menu. Will have to return and give them a try. They're planning to open a second venue called Thai Fusion Bar and Grill in a more upscale area of town (NE Herndon and Willow) early next year.
