Ok. So I dropped by this place after all the rave reviews for some quick take out (which is an oxymoron at this restaurant). I placed an order and was told it would be 20 minutes. Turned out to be more like 40 minutes. They seemed to have a small army working in the kitchen but only one person who worked the front counter who had to make the run back and forth to the kitchen for the brisk take-out service they do and attend to the half dozen tables (which were filled with patrons). Here is the run-down of items sampled on the Americanized menu (not sure if they have an authentic chinese menu):
Egg Rolls - Pedestrian. Really didnt taste like much other than the fried wrapping.
"Potstickers" - Excellent. Even though these werent the "fancy" dumpling offerred on the
menu, they were still the best dumplings I think Ive ever had.
Chicken w/Cashews- Typical chinese mystery meat with bland sauce. Yuk.
Mongolian Beef - Minimal flavorless beef completed overwhelmed with white onions
and few green/spring onions
Pork Lo Mein - Again, completely devoid of flavor and almost all noodles with very
few vegetables and pork mixed in.
General Tso's Chicken - This was a free offering because I ordered over $40 worth of
food and tasted like every other General Tso's Ive had (meaning it wasnt bad).
Summary: I would go back sans children in mind and stick to dumplings.....
