Chimu - Peruvian in Williamsburg

Last night I went to Chimu (482 Union Ave) in Williamsburg. I had been meaning to try it for some time, and now I regret I had not sooner.

Its the best Peruvian I've ever had. Okay to be honest its the second time I've had Peruvian, but it is really quite good.

I had Picante de Camarones, a slightly spicy stew of shrimp, potatoes and a light cheese. My girlfriend had a rice and bean risotto with steak. The steak was very good, nicely seasoned and tender. The rice and beans were just okay.

The prices seemed a tad high, but the portions were huge. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant.

There is a menu here, if you are in the neighborhood, and looking for something different, give it a try.
