There are two famous recipes from Burbank CA that no one seems to be able to duplicate. The first is already a thread here, the Martino's Tea Cake recipe the other has been an institution here in Burbank and back in Wisconsin for over 100 years, Chili John's Chili. It's a little scary at first, greasy and finely ground meat, very hot. But after eating it a couple of times, you're hooked. Many have tried to duplicate this secret recipe for years, all have failed. I know that suet is an important ingredient but it's the spice combination that leaves people scratching their heads. It's official, I triple dog dare anyone to figure this one out! Good luck.
