I went to the Singapore Chili Crab Fest today. Got there just past noon and the organizers were doing the final set-up, even though there was a small crowd already. While the sauce was good--spicy but not eye-poppingly so--$4 got you _half_ of a small crab, with very little meat and no proper implements to extract what meat was there. (There were rolls and spoons for sopping up the sauce, but no forks and no nutcrackers for the claws.) I thought that was a ripoff; since the crabs were so small, $4 should have bought a whole one at least. Plus, unless they were bringing it later, there wasn't any other Singaporean food like they advertised--just hot dogs and hamburgers.
I don't think I'll be going next year.
