chickie and pete's

A few years ago I went to Chickie and Pete's with a group of co-workers (the original on Robinson Ave. in the NE, not the new place that they later opened on Roosevelt Blvd). I had just moved to Philadelphia, and didn't know much except that I was happy to be invited to an after work gathering. What I remember is a crowded neighborhood bar where we squeezed into a corner booth and ate large quanities of crab legs and mussels, all washed down with pitchers of beer. I had a great time, and raved about the experience to an out of town friend. When this friend visits Philadelphia, he always reminds me that he wants to try Chickie and Pete's. I'm wondering if other folks have been there, and whether the food is really something special. Also, any recommendations of other places that would fall into this category of seafood/light dishes/beer low key hang outs? Thanks!
