I have been making chicken- parts on the grill for years. My usual method has been to pre-cook (not all the way through) the chicken in boiling water, then slather whatever sauce I want (usually the Best BBQ sauce ever, from Julie Rosso's Fresh Start cookbook) and grill
We just got a Weber gas grill (had other models previously) and wonder if I really need to pre-cook the chicken.
If not, what tips/suggestions/magic can you offer so that the chicken is cooked through before the outside burns!!
If you think the pre-cooking is the best way to cook chicken on the grill, please let me know that, as well!!
