Recently been listening to an old Ry Cooder song "Crow Black Chicken" with the lines "Hardest work that ever I done was plowin' a field of rye / Easiest work that ever I done was eatin' chicken pie."
So I've been getting hungry for a good chicken pie, and I realize that the Chicken Pie Shop is a SD tradition. But I have never eaten there.
What's the experience like? Does one eat in or take out? Is this primarily a dinner or a lunch spot? What does one have with the chicken pie?
Can anyone help me out?
