While growing up in Kent in the 80's, we used to eat frequently at the now-closed (though I think other locations may still be open) Chicken Manor. My favorite side dish was their noodles- fine egg noodles in a bright yellow buttery, brothy sauce. I have since tried to recreate this childhood favorite at home to no success. Has anyone else that has been to this restaurant tried to recreate this dish or have a similar recipe? I am assuming it is just butter, chicken broth, S&P, egg noodles and parsley, but I would like to know not only what proportions you used, but also what type (brand or recipe) of stock/broth you used. Thanks for helping me to recreate a wonderful childhood memory!
