chicken gyros

Beth | Nov 16, 200406:13 PM

Everytime i read an article about Aleko's, the hole in the wall Greek restaurant in Orinda, I am always disapointed to find out that they have failed to mention they're chicken gyros. On the menu they might come across as an "un-Greek" experience with the only description being "87% Fat Free!", but if you were to order one, you would understand how truely wonderful it is. I seriously crave them and they are one of my favorite food combos in the world. Unlike most Greek restaurants, the chicken used is a strips with spices built in and absolutely delightful. So next time your there (and if you havent gone then YOU MUST), screw the spanekopita or souvlaki and go with the chicken me!
