Chicago Visit

Kate | Jul 17, 2005 01:00 PM

Hi all,
HELP! I'm stumped. I'm in Chicago only for a couple of days (several lunches and one dinner). We're definitely going for stuffed pizza for lunch one day (thanks for the great discussion just a few days ago), but other than that, I have no clue!

Some caveats: I'm a grad student and my boyfriend is a only-recently employed IT guy, so we're on a slightly limited budget. We don't mind dropping $80-$100 total on dinner the one night, but higher than that is a little too much; also "cheaper" lunches would be helpful. We're staying near Navy Pier, but are willing to travel within the downtown area. We both like ethnic food, but also fusion and contemporary; I'm more partial to a hip atmosphere, but without the stuffiness of needing to dress up too much. I was thinking of Green Zebra, but after the discussion of it changing chefs, I'm thinking it's a bad idea.
Thanks so much!
