Hi fellow Chowhounds. I am taking a trip to Chicago from Toronto in the summer and am looking to do some early trip planning. I was wondering if anyone can suggest some decent restaurants that won't break the bank, but will give me a flare for the local cuisine, perhaps roadhouse/steak/pub fare 9I am travelling with someone who is not adventurous food wise). I am staying at the Wyndham North Hoteal on St. Clair Ave., so anything within walking/short drive of there is preferable. I also hear there is a restaurant in the hotel. Is it any good? I appreciate any suggestions, and if anyone is planning a trip to Toronto I can suggest a few places in return.

Thanks,

Bill
