Reading the Chicago Tribune one day long ago, they featured a chocolate mousse recipe which featured ground pecan, and which resulted in a recipe that was SO rich and delicious I actually held onto that recipe for years, and printed it out when I took the mousse to parties.
I've been unable to find anything like it when I have looked lately.
Crossing my fingers, has anyone also held onto that recipe from the Tribune and could recreate it here?
Thanks! :)
This might or might not be what you're looking for.
On October 4, 1984, the Trib printed an article called "Recipes cater to demand for lighter foods: Catering to demand for lighter food". It included a recipe called "Kevin Marsh's Chocolate Mousse Cake with Raspberries", which includes 3/4 cup ground pecans or almonds.
Hi there, thank you!! I did not see this til today, I'm sorry! What I saw was from a different date, but...
I did use the same ingredients, and may remember the name Kevin Marsh... though I'd have been unable to slice the mousse I'd made into wedges. So I'm not positive, though I believe the ingredients are the same. The mousse with the finely ground pecans made the mousse so thick and truly amazing. So perhaps this is it, but without baking it?
Thank you for posting!! :-)
