Chicago first timer - some questions

Hi all......

I'm sorry if this has been posted already, but I did a search and the only posts I found were old ones.

Are there any decent places to grab a bite around the Field Museum? I figure on spending most of the day there (starting with King Tut in the morning) and hoped to grab lunch outside the museum rather than in the Corner Bakery. If not, I guess I can just survive on a chain bakery's lunch for one day.

Also, what do you guys think about my tentative restaurant list? I'll be in town for a week, so I'd like to try a variety of restaurants:

Topolobampo/Frontera **leaning towards Topo (although I'm reading surprisingly mixed reviews of both, I have to try one of them)
Erwin (for an early dinner before Cubs game)
Someplace in Greektown
Scylla (or Schwa?)
Terragusto (? - I never heard of it until recently, but I love pasta and I'm reading absolute raves)
Custom House (also reading mixed reviews now, whereas before when I first started researching, all I read were raves)

** I know, one too many restaurants. I may leave one night empty so that, if I have a favorite, I can go back

Avec (I thought this was a definite, but now I'm not sure. I have no problem with communal dining, but I'm not sure I'd want to have a really early dinner to ensure a table)

On a side note, has anyone been to the new Margie's? I was planning on definitely going to the original (ice cream is my only love and I love turtle sundaes) in Bucktown, but the new one is closer to my hotel (Burnham) in the Loop. Does it have that lovely old-fashioned feel to it that the original apparently has?
