Anyone who knows Chicago and its Mexican food will be familiar with the Chicago style fast food tamale. These typically are a polenta sort of tamale with a ground pork filling and come packaged in cellophane (!) in which one heats them. You can get them all over the city at both Mexican restaurants and food stands as well as hot dog stands and the like. The question: does anyone know where, or if, they can be found in the New York area?
