For lunch today I had 2 Chicago style hot dogs: steamed Vienna beef wieners, poppy seed buns, special Vienna mustard (very good), bright green relish, tomato wedges, chopped onions, sport peppers and celery salt. Pretty darn good for mail-order food (Lou Malnati's to-go). Unfortunately, the Lou Malnati's deep dish pizza was a big disappointment - not much thicker than a Pizza Hut stuffed crust, buttery crust as advertised, but about the texture of a biscuit that didn't rise enough.
Does anybody know of any place in Houston to get authentic Chicago style deep-dish pizza?
And what the heck are sport peppers?
