I went to Chiado last week with some friends for my birthday. The service and the food were as good as ever. The Portugese corn bread is so addictive. There was an amuse bouche of some Portugese cheese that was delicious. The three of us shared four appetizers and two mains. For the apps we had grilled sardines, a salad, tuna tartare, and baked eggplant with goat cheese. The mains were the tiger shrimp and black Alaska cod. The kitchen separately plated everything for us and it was all wonderful. For dessert there was a platter of all the different desserts. The highlight on the dessert platter for me was a candied orange. The cooking is clean, fresh and fantastic.
