How to get the chew into gummies?

foxspirit | Oct 26, 201510:27 AM     15

Trying to make my own gummies. Browsed around and most of the recipes calls for taking some kind of flavored liquid (commonly juice), plain gelatin, and sugar and melting it all together over low heat then pouring into molds to set. I have tried a few different recipes of this ilk and while some are better than others none seem to have quite the same springy nature of commercial gummy bears. Does anybody know the secret ingredient? I've added via various recipes corn starch and corn syrup but neither of those fixed my issue.
