I have been amazed by all the great restaurants opened and opening between 17th and 20th and chestnut. Mattyson is becoming a favorite with refined flavors and wonderful ambience/service. Next door in the old chinese place, Tony Milans (chef from D'Angelos) is opening in the original Jimmy Milan space. Stephen Starr's Continental midtown looks great Hip and fun in the old Shoe Bizarre at 18th and chestnut. He also has two other planned Bar/eateries on chestnut on hold I know one is above the old snow white diner on 19th and chestnut ( which was Denzels Law office in the movie Philadelphia.....for you trivia fans).
Le Castagne (La Famiglia Senne Family) is turning out some amazing pastas and grilled Meats/Seafood in a niice minimalist decor. Try the signiture chestnut tglitelle with wild boar ragout...Condos are being built. Ids this the New Old city???? Watch those rents condo prices start to rise IMHO. Any thought Foodies??
