Chessesteaks !

benny | May 8, 2006 08:28 PM

We are native Mainers looking for the best subs in the Boston area whenever we come down and here are some recent ratings for cheesesteaks. Hands down best cheeseteak in Boston so far : BOB'S in Medford ; great soft roll with no taste and loaded with too much cheese and not a lot of beef flavor= TC Lando's ,Hudson; surprised by quality and was very good= Sunrise Subs, Danver's. Moogy's in Brighton was disappointing after seeing the press on this place, weak......SuperSub in Beverly was average, this place is a dump! We will never eat here again. Do you think the guys in the back could shave and get rid of the greasy hats and t shirts. I love sticky tables, this place is filthy. Other weak ones : The Big A and Dipietro's(sp?) in Malden. We have eaten other subs besides cheesesteaks in a few other places around Boston like J Paces in Melrose/Saugus which was great. Why can't you find a good cheesesteak or sub in the Boston area for the most part? Places that use a Piantedosi roll, which seems to be the norm rather than the exception are average ie. the totally overated D'Agostino's (sp?) in Arlington. Looking for the Chowhounds to give some tidbits on the best of the best in cheesesteaks for Boston area. Bring it on. By the way I have been to Philly 3 times and those people are full of it when they say thay have the best. Please chime in.
