Cherry week at Farmers Market - 7 kinds

... and you still have 3 hours to get there (SF Ferry Terminal).

This week there are cashmere, bing, brook, tulare, vista, ranier, burlatt. The cashmere are new at Frog Hollow. The cashmere have a brook-like taste but not as crisp. Didn't see any queen ann or sour cherries yet.

The lavendar stand has some lovely chandler strawberries. Don't know if it is because they came in the same truck as the lavandar, but they really have a pleasantly faint taste of lavandar. Nice combination - lavandar strawberries. Not overpowering.

Peaches are much better this week with spring snow, maycrest, sugar lips, virgin blush, and debutante. The last three are from the peach guy who I suspect makes up the names for his peaches.

Lots of apricots early, but I think they will be better next week. Identified this week poppy, flavorglo, katy and castlebrite.

I really love living in California and having this selection. Last year I worked my way through 23 types of peaches.
