Chef’s Knife - Shun v Masamoto Gyutuo

RuthDC | Dec 29, 201808:46 PM     4

I am looking to upgrade to a better chef knife. I have the Global 8” but find that after doing a lot of cutting with it for a big meal, my hand can barely grip the knife after awhile b/c of the harsh metal handle. I’ve got really small hands as well so the handle can’t be too big (i.e., the Victorinox Fibrox Pro handle is way too big). I have heard or read great reviews of both the Masamoto gyutuo and Shun knives - which is the better chef knife do people think? I tried out a couple of Shun 8” knives at a store and the Shun Classic 8” handle is the most comfortable. Thanks
