Ate at Chef Geoff's last night pre-theater and had the RW menu. Only offered 2 options for each course. I had the scallops appetizer (all 2 of them on the plate, but they did taste good) and my friend had the carrot soup, also quite good. Both of us had the cod, other option was a veal chop which would have put me to sleep during the play for sure. Cod dish was interesting - served on a bed of bean ragout (I think) that, ordinarily, I wouldn't have paired with light fish like cod, but it was quite tasty and had a kick to it. We both liked it.
Dessert - choice of chai latte semi-freddo, which was excellent, or a chocolate torte that my friend thought was dry.
Total cost, with 2 glasses of wine and tip - $47 each.
You can eat more cheaply there (pizzas and sandwiches) but our time was limited due to the theater tickets so we went with the easiest, and quickest choices.
The play was excellent . . . Tosca tonight and Corduroy for lunch tomorrow. Gym this weekend . . .
