A few years ago, I met a friend for dinner at The Silver Rail restaurant on Yonge St. opposite the Eaton Centre. I enjoyed a wonderful dish of beef medallions in a red-wine reduction, and knew I'd be back many times in my future. Then my friend informed me that the Silver Rail was closing, and in fact that very day was its last!
Desperately, I sent one of my business cards back to the kitchen, in hopes that the creator of this culinary concoction would be moving to a new venue, hopefully with recipes in hand, but received no news.
I would love to try this exquisite dish again, but have yet to find another kitchen that prepares it as well as the Silver Rail staff. Does anyone know where the chef(s) ended up after leaving the Silver Rail?
