"Cheesy" request

Walter | Apr 28, 200201:28 PM     22

I've been looking for a great cheese retailer for some time now. Living on the Peninsula (San Mateo) has led me to believe that this doesn't really exist, but I'm not willing to believe that yet.

If not a devoted cheese store, then how about a specialty store with a great cheese selection. I'm talking about a wide variety of unusual, high quality cheeses along with informed service. No price gouging, please.

The following have not fit the bill.

Draegers---Impossible service, ridiculous prices, safe selection.

Whole Foods, Palo Alto---Store run by space cadets, selection inconsistent, only occasional service.

Piazzas---Cheese left out of refrigeration, oozing.
Uninformed service.

Is there a real cheese store out there. The City?
South Bay? Anywhere? I travel all around for work, so anyplace is worth it to me.

Thanks,

Walter
