I had occasion to check out the Hyde Park Market on the corner of duval and 45th en route back from a fantastic croque monsieur just up the street at Melvin's. Low and behold while browsing the beer holdings and fun random food finds (like miniature cheezit boxes and gourmet Texas ice creams) I gazed upon Cheerwine, the fun cherry-oriented red soda from Salisbury NC they've been whipping up for decades - an event that took me back 35 years to my youngster days in the NC countryside. Sadly, the diet version was not found, but for those of you that are fond of the original sugary soda, you will find it there. The shop is a tad on the pricey side, but the density alone is a feat of space management that along with the diversity of offerings makes this an entertaining place to visit.
