I have made two trips to Cheeburger Cheeburger in Frazer/Malvern, which offers various cheeseburgers (although you can order one without cheese if you'd like), chicken sandwiches, salads, fries and rings, and shakes/malts (I believe about 60 flavors). Both trips were less that successful. On the first, I stood in the "Takeout" area behind one women speaking to an employee behind the counter. I waited, and I waited. They were not discussing anything to do with the restaurant. I made eye contact with the employee. No luck. After about 10 minutes of standing, I left none too pleased.
Today I phoned in a takeout order. There were three strikes. First, you cannot get a rare or medium rare burger, which I'm not sure I understand because they brag about how great their beef is. If it's of such great quality, why won't they serve me a rare burger like I want? Second, one of the toppings you can select on the burger are onion rings. I thought, "cool, I've never tried this." So I order the rings in addition to several other toppings. Upon arriving home, I had a huge slab of raw onion, not the onion rings. And I mean it was huge. Now I like raw onion, but I can't imagine anyone wanting this much raw onion on one burger). And three, the burger tasted kind of flat to me. So I read the menu. In addition to bragging about how fresh their meat is, they say nothing is added, "not even salt and pepper." Hello, the burger definitely needed some salt and pepper--that's why most people season things when cooking.
I would not recommend this place if you are looking for a truly great burger. The franchise concept is not working. I'd suggest Classic Diner across the street instead. The quality of the cooking and ingredients is far better.
