decor: so cutesy and tacky it's almost cool. whimsical I guess.
service: friendly, brought out a huge extra side just because I had lamented that my dining companion was eating all of hers.
food: the cheesecake thingy was in texture closer to a cheesecake than a quiche. sort of one-note but quite flavorful. Burned on the bottom but I won't complain.
carpetbagger steak: not the traditional carpetbagger steak if my memory serves -- that's a steak rolled around oysters -- someone correct me if I'm wrong -- this was a steak served with an oyster remoulade. quite tasty. generous enough portion.
blackened tuna -- not very blackened but flavorful. I had asked for medium rare but it was closer to medium -- would ask for rare next time. sides were all at least decent -- really liked the mash potatoes; the corn had a hefty amount of sour cream flavor. the salad and corn bread at the beginning were quite decent -- lots of sesame oil on the salad, which I liked. enjoyed the fact that corn bread was not dry the way most versions are.
wine list was small but extremely reasonably priced. Veuve Cliquot Grand Dame for $125!!!
