I'll be in Tel Aviv for a week in September for a wedding, staying near the Yemenite Quarter, and am hoping to have at least a few free meals to explore.

Specifically, by "weird" I mean that I'm looking for cuisines and dishes that are hard to find not just in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I live, but in the US generally. I've bookmarked many of the most famous places for hummus/shakshouka/sabich that show up on food blogs, but am wondering if it's possible to find things that are both more unusual (for example, Uzbek, Georgian, Ethiopian-Jewish, or highly specific versions of Arab cooking) and also good. I will try anything once, am perfectly happy with eating street food, and am willing to travel a bit to the suburbs for something interesting.

Also, I'm probably going to Istanbul after the wedding, so unless there is something really amazing that I shouldn't miss, I'm likely going to skip Turkish options. Similarly, I am skeptical that I can get better Chinese and southeast Asian food anywhere in Israel than I get in California, so it's probably safe to skip recommending those unless they are rare regional cuisines or truly world-class cooking.

On my list so far:
Rina and Zcharia (for Yemeni soups with offal)
Erez
Pinati (for kibbeh soup)
Jamilla
A bunch of grilled meat places: Meat Night, Bar Ochel, Shipudei Shemesh, Salim VeDani. (I don't know how these stack up against one another, nor how they differ, so feel free to chime in with preferences)
Sofia
Malabi Dajani

What places have I missed that might appeal to an adventurous eater?

Thanks!
