Hadn't been to this place in years. Located at the Lee Harrison Shopping Center, it must be one of the first Thai restaurants in the area (back at a time when Thai restaurants here commonly garnished their salads with crushed potato chips!). Sat down and immediately felt like it's under different management. It's still a pretty room, but the menu has definitely changed.
Ordered 5 appetizers for three people. Wasn't sure if that would be enough, but the apps here are the size of a main dish elsewhere. Not only are they a great deal, but 2 of the 5 had *wow* factor. the yum nuea is a copious beef salad, served room temperature. Not only was the beef plentiful, but it was of the highest quality. The salad became a wonderful concoction of the juicy beef and the fiery marinade. Excellent heat as is appropriate for this dish. The other dish worth noting is the koong hore, shrimp wrapped in wonton skins and deep fried. Their version is like a shrimp ice cream cone. Good stuff. At about $6 per app, a couple could come out of here well fed for $12.
