Can't imagine this place hasn't been written about, but...
Just had lunch at this hole-in-the-wall cuban/puerto rican (?) place on Lafayette, just north of Spring (west side of street), La C...(can't remember the name).
Beef, goat and chicken stews, fried pork chops, ribs, plus a few other dishes, of course rice, beans and fried sweet plantains.
Not much room, some counter space to sit at and did I mention it was a hole-in-the-wall?
Food was pretty good, and only $6.
