Cheap additions to make a meal

I've been a long time reader and have finally decided to sign up and see if this lovely community can give me a hand. I have some ideas kinda but my mind is frazzled at the moment, so here goes...

I have a family of six to feed (more like five since the youngest is on a frozen chimichanga diet apparently).
I have one can of black beans, 1 can of refried beans, an onion, a 'little' bit of white rice. Now I know there's plenty I could do with some spices, a green pepper, a can of chipotle in adobe maybe... but like I said - brain isn't cooperating so I'd love some ideas.

The main thing is not too much green (for another picky eater) - CHEAP - as healthy as possible considering...
