Che Cali Chicken-Herb Salad: What's that herb?

After a weekend of over-priced hotel food (biz meeting in S. Laguna Beach) stopped off in Fountain Valley in hopes that Shinsengumi FV branch served yakitori all day; it was not to be.

So we began prowling the adjoining stretch of Brookhurst in search of SOMETHING. Ended up at Chi Cali for my first time.

Service lackadasical, to say least (waiter visibly talking on his cell phone until he apparently went off-shift, leaving us to fend for ourselves).

Ordered among other things, "chicken/herb salad", which struck me as like bun, without the noodles. I thought it was pretty good; Chow-spouse was unhappy because there was something in it that tasted "like shiso", which she doesn't like (i.e. "too soapy".)

Now, I'm GUESSING it may have been rau ram, but I'm not sure.
A. Anyone know what it is?
B. Will they leave it out if I ask, or are the herbs pre-shredded-and-mixed?
