charlottesville vietnamese [Moved from Mid-Atlantic board]

Was in Charlottesville this weekend. Most of the places were average, nothing to write home about.

One place was slightly different, Siagon Cafe on McIntair Road. The place is fairly unassuming sparsly decorated but serves ok to good vietnamese food. Garden rolls were phenominal. Very fresh ingrediants and the peanut sauce and the fish sauce was outstanding. The fried rolls were pretty good, the skin was very crisp but a bit tough. The filling lacked some flavor.

The bun cha was really good (except for the meat). The meat was almost jerky like. Everything else was fresh crisp and really good. The grilled pork with rice noodle and veggie and rice wrapper was the best. We also got the pho (do not order pho at this place). Goes down as the worst pho I've ever had.

Over all, I'd recommend it because it is different from the sea of chinese places in c'ville. The place was very reasonable. We order all of this for $20 at lunch. Put this place in NOVA and no one would think it special but in C'ville, I'd go again.
