The charcoal pernil guy-where'd he go?

Mark DiBlasi | Jul 26, 2003 08:58 AM

About ten years ago there was a truck that used to park in an empty lot at 167th street and St. Nicholas Avenue. They had great, charcoal roasted pork shoulder-pernil made Cuban/Dominican style. They had the usual sides of yucca with red onions, and rice with grandules.

The vacant lot became a CVS drugstore, and the truck vanished. Anyone know where he went?

N.B.: This is NOT one of the "chimichurry" trucks that park up near the University Heights bridge, or elsewhere. No neon, and no deep friiers.
