I recently dined at Valentino's on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill. I won't belabor the point: it was dreadful. The lowest note was the alleged mozzarella placed atop my veal sorrentine. It was of the utterly artificial, translucent type that I have never seen in America, but have often seen in England. The only thing to do is to scrape it off and leave it in a plasticene mound on the side of the plate.
With entrees running into the $20s, this is a place to avoid in a big way.
