After seeing signs announcing the impending opening of several eateries at the new Chantilly Crossing plaza (at Routes 50 and 28, where Costco and Target are now), none of which bowled me over -- Red Robin, CiCi's Pizza, Chipotle, Hershey's Ice Cream -- I was pleased today to see one for Five Guys Burgers and Fries.

Should I be excited, or will I be disappointed?

We are also getting a Longhorn Steakhouse, just east on 50, next to the new Damon's, which is mobbed most of the day, and poor old Bob Evans, which is now pretty much deserted except at breakfast. Longhorn's logo looks somewhat like that for Bonefish Grill. Is there any connection? Is Longhorn any good?

Someone back at corporate must think we eat a lot of red meat out here.
