Chantilly bakery in Lomita

It's always been my mission to find restaurants/cafes that meet the standards of those in Japan. That said, I've found an excellent bakery in Lomita called Chantilly. (fyi, Japanese pasteries tend to be dainty and bite-sized, not too sweet and not at all heavy.)

I had delicious tart filled with cubes of baked apple and topped with a light cream. My friend had a fruit tart which he said was far better than what's sold at Eric Schats bakery. I dread greasy, flaky tart crusts. (Think egg custard cups at dim sum restaurants.) The ones here are firm and crunchy. Tasty even on its own. Another friend had a light cream cheese cake shaped like a white pyramid. Nearly too pretty to eat, she said.

Yes, I'm aware that Jonathan Gold reviewed this place months ago, but now that I've tried it for myself I must say it's an excellent recommendation.
