The changing face of Redwood City

Sushi Monster | Mar 31, 2008 02:25 PM

Today on Roosevelt Ave. on the way back from lunch, I had one of those little telling moments that point to a much larger truth:

The peleta carts have now crossed Valota and are heading for Upton. That's a sign that something big is happening to the demographics of Redwood City. It's happening slowly, but it's definitely happening. I can remember not all *that* long ago taking note that the peleta men who had crossed to the west side of El Camino when I was in junior high had reached Hudson. At this rate, Stulsaft Park's playground on Farm Hill Blvd. will have yummy treats by the time *my* kid gets to junior high.
