Do I need to change brine measurements if I am using less chicken?

Hey guys have a question I am confused about. I am making tyler florence's barbeque chicken for a bbq chicken pizza, however I might not be using exactly 6 pieces of chicken (what the recipe calls for) I might only be using 4 . . There is a brine for the chicken and I wasn't sure if I needed to adjust that since I am using less chicken. To me, it seems like the brine doesn't change no matter how many pieces because chicken will not soak up more brine if there is less chicken around it, if that makes sense...
Does anyone have a definitive answer for this??
Do I need to cut the brine measurements by a third or leave it the same? Thank you :)
