challenging dinner plan

garp | Nov 16, 2005 09:58 AM

Does anyone have any suggestions for this limited scenario?

- Christmas family dinner with a total of 12: 2 kids (age 5 and 10), 6 adults, 4 grandparents
- no Chinese and Italian since that's what we get the rest of the year (besides, we may be accused of "favouritism")
- grandparents don't eat out much because they "like it better at home"
- location somewhere between Markham and Vaughan (i.e., ideally around Yonge / Bathurst / Bayview, North of Sheppard)

There is a steak place around York Mills & Don Mills that I visited many years ago - is it still around, and if yes, would it be something the grandparents might like? The kids are very well behaved, so they would be ok in a standard restaurant setting.

ANY advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!!
