A challenge for chocolate lovers...

illusion | Dec 3, 201105:20 AM

I'm looking for a replacement chocolate,

We used to love this single piece made by Laura secord : Dark or Milk chocolate tourbillion. It was a very simple piece: a single almond with a LOT of chocolate (either dark or milk or white) around it. a few years ago laura secord changed chocolate supplier, while they still offer the piece, the chocolate composing it, is just no longer the same, too sweet and the quality is not too great.

I am looking to see if any other chocolate maker, either in montreal or somewhere i could order online makes something similar.

here is what im not looking for:

- Almond bark or cluster, ie a bunch of nuts dipped in chocolate so they stick toghether
- low end chocolate dipped almonds, like the one sports clubs sells for financing or brookside brand

at the monent, the closest contender i've been able to find was "la cabosse d'or" bonbon piece (almond, dark chocolate and then cocoa), which falls somewhere between a nice chocolate piece and a lower end chocolate dipped almost (for look not taste!)

This is for a christmas present, so unfortunatly looks do count.
