Chablis loving Chowhounds in the North Bay might want to get over to the Santa Rosa Costo to take advantage of a super deal. They have the 2002 vintage of La Chablisienne, Cote de Lechet at $16.99. La Chablisienne is the cooperative in Chablis, and typically the wines are quite good. This particular wine is exceptional - all lemon curd and minerals. 2002 was an ideal vintage here, ripeness coupled with good acids and terrific concentration. Drinks great now, but really needs several years to show it's stuff.
They also had another 2002 from La Chablisienne, called Grand Cuvee (same price), which I didn't like nearly as much - oddly mature for the vintage.
