Cha Redefine launched their 2nd store’s soft opening on May 7th, 2021, with a revolutionary cup of joe, Mala Coffee to support AAPI.
To support AAPI communities, all sales proceeds of Mala Coffee and Osmanthus Jelly Mango Mousse Cheesecake till May 29th will be going towards the Stop AAPI Hate campaign.
Audrey Huang, Owner of Cha Redefine, hails from Hunan, China. The city is renowned for spicy food. Her first venture was a spicy hotpot restaurant in SGV, and it made sense to introduce a new numbing and spicy coffee to jump-start the day. Mala Coffee has three main ingredients: Green Szechuan Peppercorns, Espresso and Milk.
Cha Redefine has also joined hands with Go Cakes in San Marino to support the AAPI community with a special limited cake. The Osmanthus Jelly Mango Mousse Cheesecake uses premium tea leaves from Cha Redefine to create a jelly on top of mango mousse. The cake also includes edible flowers stemming from a concept of dedication to mothers and women.
Besides a new coffee, the soft opening of Cha Redefine will show how somebody can include traditional tea culture given the frantic pace of modern life. Drinks have unique premium tea flavors sourced from across the globe. Patrons also enjoy a latte or cappuccino-style drinks, substituting coffee beans with tea leaves. Cha Redefine hopes to encourage more people to pick up the habit of drinking tea.
