Cha Fahn Tea House

I had a tremendous meal at Cha Fahn last night. I had been in a year or so ago for a small plate and tea, and while I liked it, and thought the place was beautiful and relaxing, I had the impression I would leave hungry if I had dinner .. .Not true! And, more importantly, delicious and reasonably priced. Tuesday night is vegetarian night, so you can choose between a number of small plates ($5-7) or the prix fix (one small plate plus an entree for $18). My wife had several small plates: kale with some sort of tea infusion, beet salad, mint roles. All were good-- the kale was amazing-- truly a new and fantastic taste.

I had the summer rolls and the garlic lime shrimp. The rolls were good and fresh tasting and refreshing. The shrimp was a revelation. The perfect amount of seasoning, a generous portion of 8 shrimp, and tons of tasty garlic. Even the rice was special, with a miso flavor.

I highly recommend Cha Fahn. We will be back soon
