Here's news: Saul of Restaurant Saul just bought Boerum Hill Food Company. The place is going to change a bit-- more prepared foods, less waiting, more bread for sale-- but Saul is keeping the basic concept.
I'll miss Hugh, the current owner, who's moving to California. But I'm excited to see what kind of synergy Saul will cook up between BHFC and the restaurant.
(full disclosure: Saul is my neighbor, which is how I heard the news. I'm pretty sure that my admiration for his cooking stems from the way it tastes and not mere neighborliness. But I've got to admit I'm biased).
