Yesterday we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary in Paris with friends at Les Climats for a superb luncheon and a good walk around in the 6th visiting our favorite stops from younger years. At Climats we were greeted and treated superbly. While the a la carte items looked very good, we chose the formula du jour, choice of a poached egg with truffles and cracked corn or raw bonito, and a trout with vegetables or a kidney dish and a cherry tart or a cheese plate for dessert. We supplemented this with a foie gras and two bottles of Pouilly Fuisse. As no one chose the kidneys, I have no picture. I must say that the atmosphere and level of competent service allowed us to leisurely enjoy our friends company and have a delightful afternoon. I can not say enough in praise of our experience. Thanks for the advice, Parnassien!
