a HK friend told me about this place. It's been many Chinese restaurants but since the location is not the greatest I hope it does well. They have a Grand Opening sign out front. It's located in Ardenwood Plaza, a tiny strip mall in North Fremont.
The most popular items are:
Wonton noodle soup. $4.95 for a medium size bowl of egg noodle w/ 5 plumb wontons that are homemade I hope w/ pretty big size shrimp in them and pork I guess.
Pretty tasty. I'd order a side order of just wontons next time cuz 5 is not enough for me.
Hainanese chicken. Served cold w/ side of vinegar and minced ginger. The chicken was very skinny, yellow skin which I didn't eat but Ben liked. He liked the dish, I could live w/o it. $8 for a half (waitress told me it was a popular dish since it was written in Chinese on the wall I would never had known.)
fish cake w/ bittermelon. Recommended by waitress. Ben liked this dish, I don't like bittermelon-too bitter for me. Fish cake was more like an omelet, taste of egg, fish cake, and lots of slices of bittermelon. $6.50
Overall, I would recommend wonton noodle soup and get extra wontons! They also have a 3 item for $15 special-no free house soup. Free dessert of 2 thin slices of gelatin. They have HK Style tea & coffee-but it's not written on the menu, just noticed on their take-out menu.

Open 7 days: 11am-9:30pm
Few doors down is Mira Int'l, 4930 Paseo Padre Pkwy, Fremont. It's an Indian grocery store. They carry Real Ice-Cream in the freezer section. I got a tiny container of Pista Kulfi $2.25, 2lbs of Pavel's non fat Russian Yogurt $2.79, and small bottle of rose water for $1.29. They also carry some Aero's candybars.
