Having cut my teeth on arepa la reina pepiada and guasacaca, my Venezuelan food advisor thinks I'm ready for cazon. He says,
"Cazón -- baby dogshark -- is commonly found and eaten throughout the Caribbean region. In Venezuela, vendors would walk up to your beach blanket and sell you just-fried empanadas de cazón that were just the best! An empanada, a little guasacaca hot sauce, a beer and the sea -- it's better than sex any day!"
But where to find some around here?
